Sports which are still available to you
If you are a recent, within the last four years, amputee then have a look at the www.limbpower.org website. There are many ideas on here and one of the main attractions is the Amputee Games held each year at Stoke Mandeville. You can go along, stay there for the weekend and have a go at a whole load of sports with others in a similar situation to yourself.
Just because you are an amputee it does not mean you have to give up on Sports. Many sports are still available to you - a wheelchair user on the Island, Wayne, has written a comprehensive leaflet called Sports on Wheels and he has kindly allowed us to reproduce a selection from this leaflet here. You may not need to use a wheelchair but this list shows what anyone, with more limited mobility, can join in.

Obviously this is not something we can all aspire to, but as you can see some of the amputee population feel they are able to do so!
